Mississippi has more deer per acre than any other state. With more than 1.7 million deer in Mississippi there are plenty of great trophy's to be had in this deer hunting paradise.

McKenna Outfitter's bow hunting package is perfect to start the deer hunting season with the brilliant Fall foliage of October. Early fall hunts are the most successful due to the more relaxed deer from the long, hot summer. Very similar to our gun hunts for whitetail deer, our bow hunts provide all of the necessities for the serious bowhunter, including lodging and meals.

If bowhunting isn't your thing, we have modern rifle and black poweder hunts. Like our bowhunting areas, the gun hunting areas on McKenna Ranch use a deer management program to keep deer population, size, and antler development at the best they can be. This gives you, the hunter, a better chance for a true trophy deer. Harvesting a buck weighing more than 200 pounds is not a rarity at McKenna's. Our outfitters carefully select locations for our shooting stands, which have been constructed for safety, comfort, and efficiency. The stands are in position months prior to the start of the season and our experienced guides scout regularly to move stands when the deer change their movements.
